Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant is opening up about his decision to sign with Jay-Z's sports management agency Roc Nation Sports.
Durant tells ESPN.com that joining Roc Nation Sports "seemed like the perfect move." He believes there's "no risk" in teaming up with Jay-Z, who he says is "well-respected" in the business arena. Durant adds that he looks forward to their partnership and hopes to learn as much as he can from the hip-hop mogul.
Durant recently assured fans in Oklahoma City that his partnership with Jay-Z doesn't mean he plans to leave the Thunder. He told "The Oklahoman" that Jay has nothing to do with whether he will leave Oklahoma City.
He added that the Roc Nation team is letting him "handle the basketball part" of his career. Instead, Roc Nation Sports will likely help Durant increase his brand and land endorsement deals.
